High-Tech Sunday will be a one-hour conversational style program where alumni would engage and inform the audience about professional development utilizing spiritual philosophies. Weekly discussions will be focused around topics like professional development, science and technology, workforce and family balance, ethics, and respect for others. Stemming from each of these five principles, the weekly events will focus on discussing and analyzing the societal problems at the intersection of technology and culture through a lens informed by spiritual philosophies.

Robinson’s interest in STEM began at age 10 when her father purchased a computer. Robinson immersed herself in learning all there was to know about this computer. This thirst for knowledge led her to join the military and pursue a career in Information Technology. Throughout her career, Robinson was always one of the few women on a team and this led to times of loneliness.
Through this experience, Robinson launched She.Loves.STEM. where she hopes to inspire the next generation of women in STEM.

Somerville made Command history when she created a relationship with Apple and Google to design NAVAIR’s first Mobile Career Guidebook.

Along with being a trained cancer research scientist, Orr is the CEO of Colletta Orr & Associates, where she helps women get the resources and education needed early to begin lifesaving conversations with their physicians.

Wilson Jr. has taken his passion for math and the arts and has created Brown Money, an illustrated children’s book that introduces kids to STEM, investing, real estate, job security, and entrepreneurship. With his hands-on approach, Wilson Jr. wrote and illustrated every image in the book to ensure that the correct images were captured to reflect the lessons. Wilson Jr. has performed readings at schools across Atlanta and Memphis.

Starting from humble beginnings growing up in the small refinery town of Port Arthur, TX, Demetria always had a love for science and math despite not having many engineering role-models. Hall transferred this love into a successful career, as she is currently the Flight Simulation and STEM Project Lead and has lead the program for the past five years.
Knowing the importance of having role-models, Demetria ensures to pay it forward to help shape future engineers and encourages them to keep going. Hall volunteers tireless hours of her time outside of work, but feels blessed with the opportunity to use her platform and engage with students on a regular basis while performing her current job role. As a result of her dedication to developing the future of the youth, Demetria is a recipient of the Community Service award for the 2020 Women of Color and 2021 BEYA STEM Conference.

Krystal has been a recipient of many awards, most recently the Dr. Wanda M. Austin Legacy Award at the 2021 BEYA STEM Conference.

As an academic and industry leader, Dr. Massey has demonstrated a commitment to promoting the scholarly exchange and the pursuit of intellectual communication on state, national, and international levels. She has also been a champion for promoting environmental engineering education in under-served and minority communities. Recently, she authored a book, “The Face of the New Engineer”, to help motivate and inspire potential students to pursue engineering careers.
