High-Tech Sunday will be a one-hour conversational style program where alumni would engage and inform the audience about professional development utilizing spiritual philosophies. Weekly discussions will be focused around topics like professional development, science and technology, workforce and family balance, ethics, and respect for others. Stemming from each of these five principles, the weekly events will focus on discussing and analyzing the societal problems at the intersection of technology and culture through a lens informed by spiritual philosophies.

Mosqueda retired as a Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Air Force in 2015.

On today’s episode of High-Tech Sunday, our hosts, Dr. Mark Vaughn and Lango Deen sit down with Physical Scientist for the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory and 2021 Women of Color STEM Conference Community Service in Government awardee, Dr. Treva Brown, for a conversation on how Children are the Future.

Finally, our esteemed guest, Dr. Treva Brown. With a passion for microscopy, she helps the Department of Defense gain a better understanding of organisms that cause corrosion on metal materials. As an early career scientist, she has established an analytical protocol for diagnosing the possibility of microbiologically influenced corrosion of copper-nickel heat exchanger samples aboard Navy ships and conducts microbial corrosion studies related to fabric panels.
Dr. Brown is active in outreach and mentorship activities and advocates for STEM outreach in the local community where she spearheads initiatives aimed to improve diversity and inclusion within the scientific community. Emphasizing this outreach, Treva holds the 2021 title of Ms. Black Louisiana International Ambassador, advocating her platform, “Yes You Can”, which encourages youth and young adults to attain their goals no matter the obstacles, especially in the STEM field.

Along with her work responsibilities, MSgt Rushing and her Airmen have dedicated over 200 hours to the San Antonio food drive and local community clean-up efforts, just to name a few.

On today’s episode of High-Tech Sunday, our hosts, Rayondon Kennedy and Lango Deen sit down with Multi-Functional Engineering and Science Manager for Lockheed Martin Corporation and 2021 Women of Color STEM Conference Community Service in Industry award winner, Dani Chambers, for a conversation on The Art of Giving Back.
Beginning her career with Lockheed Martin in 2005, Chambers has held many critical positions which have empowered and motivated her to develop her leadership and management skills. Dani appreciates giving back and helping others become successful through mentoring, coaching, and outreach. Dani’s outreach includes students from kindergarten through college, where she has even gone into classrooms to conduct mock interviews to prepare students for the challenges of corporate workforce.
Dani’s faith is also an important part of her life, as she serves communities across the country as a faith-based speaker at the “Women Witnessing the Word of Wisdom” conferences.

Soudan’s love for fashion begain at just 9 years old, when her mother taught her to make dresses, which led to her designng prom gowns for her friends as a teenager. She pivoted to footwear after studying abroad in Italy and saw a demonstration from a master shoemaker. After graduating from Spelman College, studying at the famed parsons School of Design, and interning with Tommy Hilfiger, Soudan debuted her first collection in 2011.
Today, the Tori Soudan brand is about timeless sophistication and fearless style.

CCG Media presents High-Tech Sunday. On today’s episode of High-Tech Sunday, our hosts, Dr. Mark Vaughn and Lango Deen sit down with Scientist and Educator for Scientist Symone Services, Symone Barkley, for a conversation on A Peace of Nature.
A proud Baltimore-born scientist and educator, Symone has a wide range of experiences in the marine science field. Over the years in undergrad and graduate school, Symone has studied algae, blue crabs, sand tiger and sandbar sharks, just to name a few.
Even with her exciting research experience, Symone’s passion for educating young people remains at the forefront of her priorities. Currently, Symone manages Education Programs at National Aquarium with a special emphasis on providing environmental literacy to youth in Baltimore. She is proud to be supporting students and teachers in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland through her work at National Aquarium and across the country through a show she hosts with NOAA Ocean Today, Every Full Moon. Symone is also the Chief Learning Officer for Black In Marine Science and has launched A Peace of Nature STEAM kits for children and youth.

With 20+ years of Informaton Technology industry experience, Burton is currently responsible for Field Service and IT Service Management operations. Burton served ten years in the United States Air Force as a Military Training Instructor and uses ths experience to lead more than 120 employees and oversee a $15 million operating budget.
Olie is an active Board of Trustee member at Mt. Ennon Baptist Church and is a member of the NAACP. Burton’s professional relationships extend from Axelos, HDI, and IT Service Management Forum. Burton is also a recipient of the 2021 BEYA STEM Conference Dr. John Slaughter Legacy Award.

Since joining GM in 2011, Muse has excelled in various assignments, each growing in scope and responsibility. In his current role, Muse works on the Cruise Origin, which is a future autonomous ridesharing vehicle and collaborative project. Through his dedication to taking on complex projects, Muse was a recipient of the Most Promising Engineer in Industry Award at the 2021 BEYA STEM Conference.
Muse is a huge advocate of minorities pursuit of STEM and has dedicated himself to paying it forward by supporting the youth and mentoring through various programs. Muse is a member of Philadelphia’s Urban Youth Racing School, NSBE, and Chevrolet’s Discover the Unexpected, just to name a few.
